The Avonlea is a 1930's detached house situated on a main road close to Banbury Town Centre.
Whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests there are some features of the property which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility.   The driveway and parking area up to the house is covered with shingle and there is a step up to the front door.
We have one ground floor room with doorways of average width but would not be suitable for wheelchair access.

We are located on a main road heading into the town and are ideally suited for those arriving by train or coach and also adequate parking for car users
The shops and town centre are only 5 minutes walk away
The bus station and train station are 15 minutes walk away or a short taxi ride
Our website provides some pictures and information about our guest house
You can contact us by phone or email. Please see contact information for full details

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

Please advise us of your anticipated arrival time so that we can be sure we are here to welcome you
Parking is available in front of the house and we would ask you to park sideways onto the drive facing the large laurel hedge
To ensure your accommodation is ready we ask that guests do not normally arrive before 3pm, however earlier arrival may be possible by arrangement

Main Entrance & Reception

There is one stone step up to the  front door which is approximately 9" high
Please ring the doorbell on arrival

Public Areas - General (Internal)

The front door leads into the hallway where the main stairs go to the upstairs rooms and also has doors leading to the guest dining room and the downstairs guest bedroom.  The stairs are quite steep and taller people will have to duck to miss the bulkhead.  The hallway still has the original quarry tiles on the floor.

Breakfast is served in the dining room

You will also find a selection of brochures, advertising the local places of interest.
We also have a small library of books for our guests to borrow during their stay
